Additional collateral by mortgage
Additional collateral means that another registered property is also used as security.
With additional collateral, another registered property is linked to the mortgage as extra security for the lender. This can sometimes help make financing possible, but it also creates additional risk for the owner of that property if the mortgage obligations are not met.
